Lithium is a valuable trace element. Lithium salts have been used for a variety of human health applications since the 19th century. Today, low-dose lithium orotate is available as a dietary supplement. This form of lithium in Swanson Ultra Lithium Orotate binds lithium ions with orotic acid and differs slightly from other forms such as lithium aspartate. Lithium orotate should be used with care under the supervision of a qualified health professional.
